Female Mechanics 2009 Calendar

Sarah Lyon's "Female Mechanics" 2009 Calendar is available! As far as I know, Sarah is publishing the only calendar featuring women mechanics. In past years (2007 and 2008) we've seen motorcycles, automobiles, buses, and heavy trucks. Each month features a mechanic and her story - every time I look at the pride on the faces of these women I grin from ear to ear.

I just love seeing these women with their tools, with their hot rods, race cars and jet aircraft and of course with their motorcycles. In addition to one for your garage or kitchen or office, think about buying one for your kid's classroom - our grade school age girls need to see women working on engines! Our world needs more innovation in the world of power generation, for transportation or propulsion or refrigeration or whatever - surrounding kids with these role models sends a subtle message of re-assurance to the girl who wants to work with her hands.
