Why is your domain named "balsamfir"? The name "balsamfir" comes from the balsamea tree. The resin from this tree can be made into an aromatic which I find very useful for relieving headaches. I needed a domain name and was gazing out the window, hoping something would come to me. I noticed the bottle of aromatherapy balsamfir essential oil and relieved the domain name headache. The business model essay (I’ve been told it’s more of a tirade) is for anyone with an interest in business models to read and use as long as you credit me as the source. I hope to add more essays in the near future. Having my professional history (1-page) (4-page) out there is just self-serving. My friend Celeste Stokely has been maintaining a library of geek humor over the years; I think it’s one of the best collections out there. I started riding motorcycles in January, 2002. I graduated from a Suzuki GZ-250 to a BMW F650CS six months later, sold the CS and bought a Triump SprintST 955, rode that across the US, then bought a BMW 1200 GS.. This journal chronicles my learning to ride. The information is maintained by yours truly on an as-needed basis. |
